We had a busy week celebrating Maths Week in Room 9. The week started off with us working in pairs figuring out the 'Problem of the Day', followed by creating tessellation art for a special Maths Week art competition. We worked hard on these and put a lots of effort into them, which paid off as we had 2 winners from our class. Ciara won the 6th class section and Clara won the overall prize for the best tessellation art throughout the WHOLE school. Well done girls👏🏽👏🏽. Yesterday we completed a maths trail throughout the school, the children used trundle wheels, measuring tapes, stopwatches and weighing scales along with their mathemathical skills to complete the trail. We also worked on our multiplication facts playing Times Tables Rock Stars on the chromebooks. We were able to play against our classmates and the games got very competitive. This morning we finished our Maths Week Tablequiz with 5th class, the teams worked very well together and the scores were very high. Well done to Conor, Donagh, Aoibhinn and Jessica on winning the quiz by 1 point🏆 To finish off our Maths Week we went to visit our friends in Ms. Marshall's classroom. We helped them complete a maths trail around their classroom, we had great fun looking for triangles, squares, circles and retangles with them. Well done children, you had a busy week!!!
