St. John’s Girls can hold their heads up high after they put in an excellent performance today against a well-organised Rathcormack team. Ballisodare were on top for most of the first half but the opposition took their chances well and the score was level at half time, 0-2 to 0-2. There was a more even share of possession in the second half and Rathcormack took the lead with 10 minutes to go. Shortly after, however, the Girls in Blue and White equalised through sheer determination and skill. Unfortunately in the dying minutes Rathcormack took the lead again and never gave it up. The match ended 0-4 to 0-3 in favour of the home side. Hard luck girls and well done on being part of such an enjoyable, competitive match.
