5th Class School Tour
On the 13th of June, 5th Class went on their school tour to Shannon River Adventure Centre, Rooskey.
Firstly, we got on the bus at 9:00 am sharp. When we arrived there at around 10am, an instructor spoke to us about the rules and showed us where to go.
Secondly, we got ready for our water activities. It was a bit hard to put our wetsuits on because they were wet and soon after, got our helmets and life jackets. We then got into the water to play a few games to get warmed up. Once we finished our games, we headed off to our next activity which was pier jumping. There were two different levels for the pier jumping.
After pier jumping we moved onto kayaking. It was lots of fun. We got to go on our own, in twos or threes. Next, we went canoeing. We got about four people on each side of the canoe. We did a few games on the canoe.
We then went mud sliding. The mud slide was really fun. So you would slide down head first into a little mud pond. I think everyone enjoyed that.
After that, we took a quick, warm shower, got changed and ate our lunches. Soon after, we did some archery which was really fun. Lastly we went onto the climbing wall and only a few people got to the top.
We then got home at around 4:00 pm and overall really enjoyed our trip.
