Parents Association

Our Parents’ Association is your Parents’ Association.  All parents of pupils in the school are automatically considered members of the St. John’s N.S. Parents’ Association and are encouraged to lend their support throughout the school year in the PA activities when they can.

Our Role

St. John’s N.S. Parents’ Association meets on the first Tuesday of each month and supports the work of the school in many ways. The Parents’ Association are always delighted to welcome new parents to work with them.  There is also a fundraising element to the Parents’ Association, which supports and provides for extra resources in the school. Some of the Parents’ Association activities throughout the school year include providing a party for the families of the First Holy Communion class, French classes for 6th class students and buses to swimming classes, and assistance where required by the school.

The following are the members of the current committee:

Chairperson: Gillian Connolly

Treasurer:  Brid Cotter

Secretary:  Sinead Gallagher

New Members

In order for us to go from strength to strength, it is important to have new parents with new ideas involved in the Committee. As parents ourselves, we understand the demands on your time and any involvement with the association or its activities is greatly appreciated. It is also a great way of meeting other parents. The committee meets monthly during the school year. The meetings take place in the school and last for about an hour. For further information please feel free to contact any of the current members.

Finally
We would like to thank you for your continued support and would like to remind you that we are all part of the school and if you have any comments, suggestions or would like to lend a hand please contact a member of the parents committee.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
